I can see clearly now…Do you remember that phrase from a song that I don’t even know where I heard from? Anyway, that must have been what people from across the globe are saying after they have undergone laser eye surgery. My vision is not as clear as it used to. Old age is finally creeping up and I might need the dreaded eye glasses sooner than much later. And I don’t want that. I would look older than I really am which I think nobody wants and that includes me. Incidentally, Abbott Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), the global leader in laser vision correction, just launched a contest wherein people get to share through videos, music or movie, how an improved vision made an impact in their lives. The contest is aptly called “You Gotta See This.” It’s an iLASIK Video Contest and anyone who joins has a chance to win cash and other prizes. It’s so easy to join. Just make a video showing how after having Lasik surgery, you can do things you never would have done with a blurred vision. And people have already submitted. Some of the entries were a music video and another on boxing and swimming. This just goes to show that if your eyesight is good, you can do almost anything.
