With the holidays just a hop and skip away, I’m doing a bit of penny-pinching lately. Every cent counts nowadays and I’ve been grabbing opps left and right that my blog seems like a major PR page straight out from the newspaper. But that’s just my online life and my offline world is equally busy. And I’m counting the days before my two children get off from school for the semestral break. I can’t wait. I also can’t wait for Gold’s Gym to open. Yes, the management moved the opening again…to November 21 and that pisses me off. Anyway, have a great week ahead.

I can’t explain my excitement. Call me “mababaw” but I’m super happy that the gym here in our building would open one week from now. I’m so excited to start on a fitness regimen although I have done this so many times in the past. I mean, starting then finally my enthusiasm wears off. But it’s a different thing now since the gym is just a few floors below where we live. Unlike in the past when I still had to bring extra clothes and stuff and drive to the gym, this time around I just have to walk, ride the elevator and go home in my gym clothes. One other thing I’m super excited about is the release of Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. Again, call me “mababaw” but I love a good read. I’m quite sure that I would be able to squeeze in a few minutes of reading time in my busy schedule just for his book. Anyway, happy weekend again!

I have a new gym membership. Another branch of Gold’s Gym is being put up here on the 5th and 6ht floors of our condo building and it will be open, hopefully, in September. I took advantage of the gym’s opening promo which is 50% off their usual annual membership fee. I used my credit card to avail of the 12 months, interest free promo. It’s really cheap since I would be paying around a thousand bucks a month for 12 months. And to think that everything (locker room, gym equipment, towels, steam and sauna rooms) is new, it feels like I got a very good bargain. BTW, there are a few more slots.
