My mom is turning 60 this December. My sister and I are planning to produce a short movie or feature that would have all her siblings, relatives and her loved ones give short meaningful messages. It’s a tough task especially for me who is in charge of going from one relative to the next to record their messages. I haven’t started yet. I have to call and inform each one about the plan and I’m not even sure if everyone would be agreeable. There are even relatives in the province that I have to visit for this. If only they know how to use the technology of the internet and post their messages in social networking sites so it would be easier for me. But unfortunately, they are as low-tech as they come. Aside from that, I have to find the perfect gift for her 60th birthday. I t should be something special and should be something that she likes. The last time I spoke to my mom, she wanted this branded esq watch. It’s a bit expensive but I know that would make her happy. We want this event to be truly memorable for her. So I guess she’d be getting that watch and a ton of best wishes on her 60th year here on Earth.

This has been a busy day. It’s my son’s birthday today and we just ate at Zensho, one of his favorite restaurants. He likes Japanese food so much. Although I was craving for pasta today, I had to give in because it’s his birthday. That was his only wish. And a new laptop but I said that he has to wait until later this year when I’m expecting a bit more cash. That was half of today. The other half was way busier. We moved all the big appliances and furniture in the new unit. My brother helped me with the moving. He borrowed his friend’s mini-truck to load all my things. Since the vehicle was not big enough, they had to take several trips. Aside from that, my brother only had two helpers. And my former apartment is on the third floor with no elevator. Imagine the hassle of going down three flights of stairs carrying all those heavy furniture and appliances. I was endlessly thanking my brother for helping me with the move. But at the back of my mind, I should have gotten the services of a professional mover like Houston Mover. They know how to move things safely and efficiently. They have a team, not only two people, to do that. And the best thing about them is they have been in business for many years now so they know what they’re doing. Oh well, there’s always a next time.

…and I”m having a hard time getting motivated this morning. I slept late because I had a terrible throbbing headache last night and falling asleep was such a chore. I downed two pain relievers which I think was the reason I woke up at 4am suffering from stomach acids. So I’m changing our morning routine and beginning an hour later than an already delayed start. Adjusting is always a little painful, considering I have many things planned for today. I think I’ll have to spring for 2 cups of coffee today just to get moving.
