baby slings

March 15th, 2010

My little girl and I were at the mall the other week looking for a pair of white patent shoes which she would use for her moving up program that same week. Surprisingly, there were not enough white shoes available. I mean, there were lots but not in styles I wanted. But I had to choose one because we were pressed for time as the event was just two days away. I thought buying stuff for my kids would be easier these days especially when competition is at its peak now. With the internet, online shopping is now possible. You don’t even have to leave the house to buy something. Like this online shop for baby slings I came across just recently. It made me wish my little girl were a baby again so I can put her in those cute baby slings and baby carriers. When I gave birth to her almost six years ago, baby slings were not in the market yet. Or perhaps they were available, I just didn’t know about it. Thank God for LastellaBlu.com, moms won’t have a hard time looking for one. These baby slings are also good for gift-giving. I’m sure any mom would love to have one and I’m quite sure babies would love them, too.

facebook

March 14th, 2010

I’m thinking of creating a Facebook account for my little girl.  She has too many photos and I want to keep it in one place and share those with relatives and friends.  Flickr only allows you to upload a certain number of photos a month and you have to pay a fee to upgrade.  Facebook is free so I might just create one for her.  Anyway, check out anne a lay apostle’s profile and add her while you’re there.

need eyeglasses

March 12th, 2010

I was looking for a great pair of eyeglasses the other day to protect my eyes from constantly looking at the computer monitor when I came across an article by Eric Hammer mentioning about affordable eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. Since I need eyeglasses badly, I read the article thoroughly and I was quite impressed how cheap these eyeglasses from Zenni Optical are yet they can also be considered of high quality materials. These days those two qualities are difficult to find in one product. Affordability and high quality are two opposite poles nowadays. When I visited the site and I particularly like the line of less than $10 frames they are offering. For as low as $10, you’d get a decent pair of eyeglasses. Isn’t that great especially now that everyone is on a tight budget. Nothing can beat that in my opinion.

I remember one instance I had to buy prescription eyeglasses for my son who suffered from blurred visions for many weeks. I accompanied him to an eye doctor and the verdict was Astigmatism. So we had to buy eyeglasses for him and I spent around $150 for the whole thing. Anyway, I should have gotten his pair at Zenni’s.The doctor that we went to had a whole set of eyeglasses to choose from that it felt like we had to buy from him. I should have said no. I should have done what Eric Hammer did as written in his article. He goes to his optometrist but he directly goes to Zenni to have his pair made. Oh well, that’s the exact thing I’ll do now.

easy coupon shopping

December 12th, 2009

Using shopping coupons nowadays is so common.  In fact, there are many websites out there that offer free coupons for you to use.  And one such website is PricePickle.com. But what makes the site different is that getting coupons at pricepickle is much easier than the others. Just find your preferred store and click on the view coupon button. It’s that easy. Unlike with other sites that look cluttered and full of unnecessary advertisements, PricePickle.com looks neat and easy to navigate and get around.  It also lists coupons according to category, special offers, expiring and of course, store name.  Visit the site now and start coupon shopping.

health is wealth

September 14th, 2009

I’ve been feeling under the weather lately.  I think it’s old age although I’m only 37, I complain about a lot of pain.  I wish it would just go away.  It also makes me think of getting Tonik Health Insurance which covers everything from dental, medical and vision.

health insurance

August 30th, 2009

Major topic in most talk shows in the US nowadays is healthcare.  I think Obama has proposed something, I’m really not sure.  But I think it’s important that everyone should get some form of health insurance. One such insurance is BLUE CROSS TONIK.

back exercises

August 27th, 2009

There was a time in my life when I experienced tremendous lower back pains for weeks.  I drank pain relievers almost daily because I could not function well enough.  If I had done back pain exercises, it might have eased the discomfort a bit. Anyway, for those experiencing back pains, I know how you feel. But at least now you can do something about it. There’s a program specifically targeted for back pains, just visit Back2Yourself.com for more information.

permanent makeup

August 25th, 2009

It’s hard enough being a woman and harder still being a beautiful one at that.  Beautiful in a sense that we have to be at least presentable because people expect us to maintain  certain appearances while in the outside world.  Every morning we have to face the world, face the chores, face our children and partner and while doing all this, we need to be at our best.  Sometimes I think it’s harsh reality that we even have to put an extra effort to be beautiful for our husbands or partners in life.  If we don’t or if we even just relax for oneday, there’s always that chance that your partner will replace you with a much younger, sexier and prettier girl-next-door type.  I don’t think any woman would want that.  Anyway, whatever the reason for putting an ounce of effort to look good, it’s always better to do it for yourself rather than for someone else.  Just think of it as some sort of self-improvement on your part.

Now that we have accepted the fact that we have to at least look presentable, it just doesn’t happen overnight or just like that.  We have to work at it.  And one of the ways to enhance our features is through make-up.  But it gets tiring to even put on makeup.  Wouldn’t it be nice if just wake up, take a bath, dress up and go?  Skip the whole process of makeup?  Well, now we can with permanent cosmetics. Yes,it does not wash off even after shower, exercise or swimming.  The process is called micro-pigmentation that introduces color pigments to the skin just like when you’re wearing cosmetic makeup.  The most common facial parts that undergo this process are the eyebrows, eyeline, and lips.  And they look natural.  This is especially beneficial to those who lead active lifestyles.  If you’re planning to go through this, make sure the you go to an experienced cosmetics artist who is physician referred and one who has proper certifications.  For more information, visit BrowLady.com.
