I think I’ve received about 2 wedding invitations this month from a relative and one from a friend. Who says June is the wedding month? I think February is not the love month for nothing and most couples decide to get hitched during this month. Why? Well, for one the weather is perfect for garden weddings and receptions. There are less chances that your most important event as a couple would be rained out. And second, it’s just more romantic. I would choose February or December to get married and not June. But guess what? I got married in June.
Anyway, the wedding invitations I got are quite different. My relative chose to go for the more convenient but nevertheless beautiful digital wedding invitations. Hers was so colorful. The couple decided to incorporate the motif of the wedding into the invitations and it worked out well. My friend, on the other hand, went for old-fashioned letterpress wedding invitations that are making a comeback. The invitations were so dainty and they seemed to come straight from another era. I think couples would soon catch up with this trend. I don’t know if they are more expensive but wedding is a once in a lifetime thing.

About moving, quite a few people were asking me last week if I knew of Moving Companies Los Angeles. I’m not really from Los Angeles although my sister and her family have lived there for 20 years now So when I asked her if she of any Moving Company Los Angeles, she immediately said no. That’s because my sister has not experienced moving since then. She has lived in the very same home she’s occupying now. Lucky for her because it’s a back-breaking, tedious task to and transfer all your things from one house to another. Imagine the packing and unpacking, hauling, cleaning and all the other things associated with moving. They require patience and a good, flexible spine to be able to do all that.
Anyway, I knew of one company in Los Angeles who is an expert in moving. They are one of the first Los Angeles Moving Companies to establish a name for themselves in the business of moving and transfer. Melrose Moving offers superb customer service, free estimates, and professional packing. The company has experienced, professionally trained movers who operate using clean trucks with liftgate & ramp. You can even call them for last minute moving, they would surely accommodate you.

Sales people just don’t get it. I know it’s a tough job to sell especially something that you can’t even physically hold on to. For instance, insurance and educational plans. You just hold on to a paper or a contract or receipt. I don’t want to be in the position of health insurance broker. I don’t even know if I can find one good prospect to sell an insurance to.
It would a very tough transition for me from selling advertising spaces and writing service to selling health insurance. But one friend of mine is so great at his job. I did not expect him to buy a brand new car in a year working as an agent but he just did, a few weeks ago. I guess I’m by far the only one who’s not looking for a positive environment.
So what’s his secret? Reliable health insurance leads. With so many agents around, getting quality leads is important. Like he said, “you don’t want to work harder, just smarter.” And I believe him. Agents simply do not do well directly competing against other agents and it’s largely a failed concept. If it means hunting people down day after day week after week so they can land 1 out of 15, to me that is not “working.” I guess looking for quality leads instead of quantity leads is more effective.

This morning I had to leave early to attend a wedding. Well, not really. I actually did the makeup of a friend who is part of the wedding entourage. Too bad I was in a bit of a rush to leave the house this morning that I forgot my camera and my new sponge. Would you believe I had to use my fingers to apply the foundation because my foundation brush was also missing. But the makeup came out alright. In fact, two of her cousins asked for my number for future gigs. They actually wanted me to redo their makeup which was done by another makeup artist. I can’t blame them. Their makeup looked all red. But their Sexy Dresses and gowns made up for the bad makeup job.

I’m always looking for Christmas gift ideas. I’m tired of giving the usual gift basket, assortment of cookies and pastries and even toys for kids. Plus I don’t have time to look through every item in the mall for that perfect gift. Then the idea of Gift Cards came to mind. I mean, why not? At least the person you’re giving it to can choose what she likes for herself. No more guessing game for you. I’m quite sure that anyone who receives a gift card would be ecstatic. Who does not love shopping and for free since it’s a gift. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone.

Ok, so another friend is getting married February next year. I just saw the rough sketch of the Wedding invitations and all I could say is it’s classic and safe. Well, it’s good and quite traditional but I hope my friend would think outside the box and come out with a unique design or a nearly unique design that is not commonly used. Like the cherry blossom wedding invitations I stumbled upon in the internet. The invitations look vintage. Vintage is so in nowadays whether in clothes, shoes, posters and even furniture. So why not in wedding invitations as well? I know that anyone who receives such would truly feel special. That she’s a significant part of the marrying couple’s life. I know I would.

Two friends of mine are crazy about cycling. They’re actually a couple. The husband started way way back and has been competing regularly. The wife just started this year when her husband bought her one of those colorful mountain bikes. It seems silly but she really wanted a pink bike and got one. And now she’s so serious about cycling. The last time I saw her she’s gotten more fit. And would you believe that she’s on the market for a pair of pink bike shoes? She regularly bikes now. She and her husband would even join those out-of-town cycling trips. She’s preparing to compete next year. I actually envy her being and active and all. I wish I had more time for these things. I don’t plan to compete or anything. I just want to be more active so one of those comfort bikes is good enough for me. Those bicycles are designed specifically for comfort and with little else in mind. And I might buy MG one of those bikes for kids when she grows a little older. What I don’t really like about cycling are the cycling shorts. I really hate clothes that look tight and feel tight. That’s why I’m not into scuba diving. But what can I do if that’s the norm?

Christmas is just two months away. You know what that means. It’s that time again for parties and gift-giving, just two of my favorite things. And for those to happen in my favorite season, I can’t help but be doubly excited. As early as now, I’m already making my gift list. Have you noticed how your list gets longer every year? Well, mine does. Unfortunately, the money stashed away for buying gifts remains the same. So what can you do? It’s a good thing I have a radar for bargains, sales and discount. And just recently and just in time for Christmas, I discovered this site that offers fragrances at the lowest possible price. I love receiving perfumes and even makeup as much as I love giving them as gifts. Women, especially friends of mine, love to receive perfumes. I don’t know of any woman who has only one bottle of perfume on her vanity. In fact, it’s normal to have as many as 20 different brands of perfume at one time. Why? Because our moods dictate how we want to smell every single day. That also goes for skin care. We can’t stick to one. Anyway, if you are planning on giving such items this Christmas or at any time of the year, visit KaufmanFragrance.com.
