talk about moving

February 2nd, 2010

About moving, quite a few people were asking me last week if I knew of Moving Companies Los Angeles. I’m not really from Los Angeles although my sister and her family have lived there for 20 years now  So when I asked her if she of any Moving Company Los Angeles, she immediately said no.  That’s because my sister has not experienced moving since then.  She has lived in the very same home she’s occupying now.  Lucky for her because it’s a back-breaking, tedious task to and transfer all your things from one house to another.  Imagine the packing and unpacking, hauling, cleaning and all the other things associated with moving.  They require patience and a good, flexible spine to be able to do all that.

Anyway, I knew of one company in Los Angeles who is an expert in moving.  They are one of the first Los Angeles Moving Companies to establish a name for themselves in the business of moving and transfer. Melrose Moving offers superb customer service, free estimates, and professional packing. The company has experienced, professionally trained movers who operate using clean trucks with liftgate & ramp. You can even call them for last minute moving, they would surely accommodate you.

affordable eyeglasses

January 23rd, 2010

Every Friday, my kid and I go out to eat and walk for hours inside the mall checking out shops. I totally enjoy this time with my kid and I can safely say that she enjoys it too. But have you tried going out with just enough cash for lunch and nothing else? We did that yesterday. I had to buy prescription eyeglasses for my son last week who has been complaining of blurred visions for many weeks. I accompanied him to an eye doctor and the verdict was Astigmatism. So we had glasses made and he got it last Thursday. I must have spent around $150 for the whole thing. Anyway, I should have gotten his pair at Zenni’s. I don’t even know why I never thought of it in the first place. The doctor that we went to had a whole set of eyeglasses to choose from that it felt like we had to buy from him. I should have said no. I should have done what Eric Hammer did. In his article, he tells us that he has been going to Zenni for the past eight years. Yes, he goes to his optometrist but he directly goes to Zenni to have his pair made. That’s what I should do.  Anyway, there’s still a next time.

busy week

January 2nd, 2010

It was a busy week for the family this past week.  A lot of last minute shopping, prepping and cooking, and packing.  We had to do a lot of packing this week because we spent Christmas and New year outside of home.  It’s nothing compared to a house move requiring a moving company, but it’s still tedious.  But it was all worth the extra effort as we enjoyed many days with our loved ones.  Speaking of moving, never do it yourself.  I know it’s the “in” thing to do, DIY, but moving is a different issue.  It requires professional people to do the job.  If you need a moving company, trust ABF U-pack Moving with everything frommoving and storage services.

Anyway, I hope it would be like that each year.  I’m actually planning an out-of-town trip for New Year 2011 this early.  Yes, I’d like to avoid cramming and last minute planning for this year.  I guess it would be best since the family has entrusted me with organizing major events and happenings this year.  And I won’t let them down.

online market for human knowledge

December 7th, 2009

I’m a stay at home mom.  I take care of my kids 24/7.  I prepare their meals, help my little girl with her assignment and I drive them wherever they need to go.  In other words, I seldom get my alone time.  Really, it seldom happens.  I’m with them day in and day out.  Those are some of the loving sacrifices you need to make the loves of your life.  And to tell you honestly, those sacrifices are all worth it especially when you see your kids getting good grades in school and growing up to be wonderful individuals.

But there are a few things I want to do for myself.  I want to get fit again.  I want to join any marathon in the near future.  And I want to further my knowledge. On anything. I just don’t have the time to get in my car, drive for hours to my destination, and drive back to a congested traffic.  It’s a waste of time.  And my time is precious.  I don’t have time to dilly dally.  That’s why when I heard about WisdomPan.com and the list of skills and help I could acquire online, I became hopeful again.  Imagine the convenience it brings to any mom out there who just does not have the time to waste on traffic and other things. There are many advisors on the site that can help you with a lot of topics.  Some of the topics I’m interested in are internet marketing and selling, wardrobe and fashion consulting, and even auditing.  In fact, I could even offer my knowledge on makeup artistry.  It’s free to join.

Advisors can setup various pricing strategies, charge by consultation, charge by subscription with trial prices and conduct unlimited number of live webinars or live meetings.  You should visit the site to learn more.  It’s really cool.

lovely dresses and bad makeup

December 6th, 2009

This morning I had to leave early to attend a wedding. Well, not really. I actually did the makeup of a friend who is part of the wedding entourage. Too bad I was in a bit of a rush to leave the house this morning that I forgot my camera and my new sponge. Would you believe I had to use my fingers to apply the foundation because my foundation brush was also missing. But the makeup came out alright. In fact, two of her cousins asked for my number for future gigs. They actually wanted me to redo their makeup which was done by another makeup artist. I can’t blame them. Their makeup looked all red. But their Sexy Dresses and gowns made up for the bad makeup job.

mom turning 60

November 22nd, 2009

My mom is turning 60 this December.  My sister and I are planning to produce a short movie or feature that would have all her siblings, relatives and her loved ones give short meaningful messages.  It’s a tough task especially for me who is in charge of going from one relative to the next to record their messages.  I haven’t started yet.  I have to call and inform each one about the plan and I’m not even sure if everyone would be agreeable.  There are even relatives in the province that I have to visit for this.  If only they know how to use the technology of the internet and post their messages in social networking sites so it would be easier for me.  But unfortunately, they are as low-tech as they come.  Aside from that, I have to find the perfect gift for her 60th birthday.  I t should be something special and should be something that she likes.  The last time I spoke to my mom, she wanted this branded esq watch. It’s a bit expensive but I know that would make her happy. We want this event to be truly memorable for her.  So I guess she’d be getting that watch and a ton of best wishes on her 60th year here on Earth.

professional mover

October 29th, 2009

I can say that I’m a professional mover.  No, I don’t own a moving company like this Los Angeles Moving Company or anything.  It’s just that I have moved more than six times in the past four years.  It may not sound a lot but if you have moved even just once in your life and have loathed the packing and unpacking, the organizing and boxing of things and the move itself, you multiply that six times and it does not sound so easy now, right?  Well, I’ve done it.  Blame on my itchy soles.  I have a problem staying put in one place for a long time.  In my case, two years in the same place would be hell for me.  But that changed the moment I turned 36.  The last move really took a toll on my health.  To begin with, I haven’t been feeling in the up and up lately.  I’ve been sick and have been suffering from chronic sinusitis.  Headache was a daily part of my life so I hated the idea of another move.  But I had to.  It would be the last move because the home was already ours.  That was kinda a relief since I knew we would not be moving for a very long time.

So what I did was hire a professional mover.  No, it was not me.  And if I knew how convenient and easy it would be, I would have hired Movers Los Angeles the first time around.  Now looking back, it seemed so silly packing and unpacking all those things, moving the boxes from one house to another and driving to and fro all by yourself.  What was I thinking?

If you are in the process of moving and are thinking of doing it yourself, DON’T!  Hire a Moving Company Los Angeles to do the job for you.  Melrose Moving has professional and trained movers.  They really really know what they’re doing and they have the proper equipment to do the job efficiently.  They have terrific customer service who would answer all your queries even silly questions like who would feed your cat while you’re busy supervising.  And they even accept last minute moving.  Visit the website and get a free estimate.  Or better yet, call them at 1-800-431-3920.

must love dogs

September 12th, 2009

I wrote about my friend who wishes to buy another dog this weekend.  Well, she hasn’t changed her mind.  In fact, she added more activities in tomorrow’s agenda.  She’s now planning to buy several things for all her dogs.  I asked her what were those and I couldn’t even begin to tell you how long the list was.  Anyway, I don’t have time to accompany her from  one dog store to another.  I also have a life, you know.  So I suggested the Friendly Dog Store. It’s an online shop where everything dog is there.  Every necessary and unnecessary thing.  But when you’re a dog lover, everything is considered essential.  I think my friend would enjoy browsing through the many dog items.

diesel parts

July 29th, 2009

I’ve been waiting for my sister for over an hour now.  She’s in the auto center having her SUV fixed.  Aside from the scheduled oil change, air conditioning is not working.  Actually, she has been complaining about it for a week now.  She thought she just needed to add freon or something but the mechanic said that the compressor needs to be replaced.  So she’s looking for diesel parts that are top quality but affordable.I told her to check this online site I found for diesel auto parts.  DieselPartsPros.com carry turbochargers, diesel injectors, diesel fuel pumps, condenser and aircon compressors.  I’m not sure if she’d listen to me but I hope she does.

shopping for furniture

July 13th, 2009

As early as now, my friend Nancy is shopping around for Furniture for her new home.  Construction for her house is in full blast and she’s not wasting any time looking for best deals, even went as far as visiting a victorville furniture store last weekend.  I think she found great Storage beds for her children and even Home Office Furniture for her husband’s mini-office at home.  She’s doing a great job.  She’s really hands-on when it comes to building and furnishing their new home.  I also told her to check out this online store, FurnitureFrom Home.com for some amazing furniture collections.
