essay writing

January 31st, 2010

My son is in his third year in College and this semester is kind of hard for him as some of his subjects require the students to submit endless research essay writing and projects on various sciences.  Those are two things my son is having a hard time doing.  Studying his science subjects has taken a toll on his health.  He’s sleeping late, not eating on time and generally not doing anything at all except studying which is not advisable if you want to be an all around human being.  I told him to write his essays and reports and let someone else do the essay editing.  He could just write the general topics and a brief description and let a students essay editing service finish the work for him.  At least, his reports and essays would be beautifully written and packed with information he himself supplied.  Anyway, some of his classmates are already doing it so why can’t he?  Well, my ever so dutiful son who likes to do everything himself, can’t accept that another human being would do anything for him.  But he’s slowly coming around and checking out Custom-Essay.org.  According to him, the service includes unlimited revisions.  I’m quite sure there would be few since Custom-Essay.org is known for producing quality writing.

movie buff

January 28th, 2010

As an admitted movie buff attached to the television almost all day, Avatar couldn’t be more up my alley. The movie is getting good reviews and a friend of mine has even watched it three times. What’s with the movie anyway? It even beat Titanic in ticket sales. The funny thing is James Cameron’s Avatar outgrossing another one of his movies. Avatar seems good except for the odd looks that could very well be trolls in disguise. I don’t know if I love or hate it. Right now as I am so busy doing a myriad of things, I would content myself with a good Video on Rapidshare or a good book when I get a free time in between chores and jobs. The last time I opened a book was last year and the last time I watched a good movie was also last year. It goes to prove that I’ve been working hard. So perhaps in a few weeks or so, I would reward myself with a luxurious spa treatment and a facial. Just thinking about it makes me want to turn off this computer, leave everything as it is, and not worry about the deadlines I have to meet. Not now. But I would surely do all those soon.

on camping

January 28th, 2010

I have never done camping. When I was younger, our school would often hold camping activities on the school grounds. I never attended one. It was just not my thing. I was more musically inclined back then and would often lock myself inside my room for hours listening to my favorite bands. Duran Duran was the band I frequently listened to. I had my walls plastered with posters of them as a group. My favorite was Nick Rhodes. Anyway, going back to camping…I wish I tried it sooner. Now that I’m older, it’s so difficult to find time to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It would be nice to go camping, eat outside, be with the people you love the most, just sitting on those outdoor chairs and talking till the wee hours of the night or morning.  I know it’s never too late for anyone to do anything and everything except perhaps having a baby at 50.  I don’t even know if it’s possible.  Yeah, it’s never too late.  I might just schedule a camping trip on my birthday or in the summer when the weather is perfect for camping.  I’m quite we wouldn’t be rained out.

this is the year

January 26th, 2010

I am trying not to hyperventillate every time I think what is in store for me this year. This is the year that would make or break me. It’s all happening… Everything and more. And I can’t help but be scared. I’m doing everything for my family now. This is the year that I mature. That I become a parent not only in title but also in deed. I only have two years more before I turn forty. And when I think about it, I panic. I don’t have enough savings. I don’t have a steady job. And I don’t know what I’m doing in so far as finances are concerned. Lord, help me get through all this for my kids.

it’s a lazy day

January 24th, 2010

It’s so nice to just stay home and do nothing. We had plans of going out of town and sitting by the pool all day but we’re all feeling a bit tired and sleepy. My father threw a party last night and we all had chores to do and it was not easy preparing food for 50 guests or more. I got my first headache and itchy throat after two or three months of good health. We must have gone home around 3am and practically slept all morning.

I think I need a new bed. I kept tossing and turning this morning. I was asleep but I also knew that I was half awake. It was just so weird. I need to check some beds for sale this week. I can’t afford not to sleep well. I have so many things to take care of up until my birthday next month. I’m actually very excited about the events coming up next month. My little girl will have her first out-of-town field trip and first public performance. Meanwhile my son, who’s turning 20 this year, now have plans of getting a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. His mind changes all the time. Anyway, we’ll see what his mind comes up with next month. That’s all for now. Enjoy what’s left of the weekend. I know I’ll sleep through it. =)

i love dogs

January 24th, 2010

I love dogs.  I used to have one but he died because of a complication in one of his organs.  I can’t even remember now, I can’t even remember it back then.  All I heard from the veterinarian was blah blah blah as I was so devastated and was feeling a bit guilty for not taking care of him better.  So my dog’s death gave enough grief and trauma to me that I never thought of getting another dog again.  Until now I feel that I’m an irresponsible dog owner and that I must never have one again.  Call me weird but I feel responsible for my dog’s death.  Anyway, I came across dog boarding and training. If I had known about this, I would have brought my dog there while I went out of town for work.  I should not have left my dog with the maids because they never did care for him in the first place.  They only thought of him as a pest because he would leave stray hairs all over the sofa and would even chew away shoes when we left them on the floor.  But it’s too late now but I’m glad that there are facilities now that have our dogs in mind.  I hope there would be more so our most beloved pets would be taken care of properly.

affordable eyeglasses

January 23rd, 2010

Every Friday, my kid and I go out to eat and walk for hours inside the mall checking out shops. I totally enjoy this time with my kid and I can safely say that she enjoys it too. But have you tried going out with just enough cash for lunch and nothing else? We did that yesterday. I had to buy prescription eyeglasses for my son last week who has been complaining of blurred visions for many weeks. I accompanied him to an eye doctor and the verdict was Astigmatism. So we had glasses made and he got it last Thursday. I must have spent around $150 for the whole thing. Anyway, I should have gotten his pair at Zenni’s. I don’t even know why I never thought of it in the first place. The doctor that we went to had a whole set of eyeglasses to choose from that it felt like we had to buy from him. I should have said no. I should have done what Eric Hammer did. In his article, he tells us that he has been going to Zenni for the past eight years. Yes, he goes to his optometrist but he directly goes to Zenni to have his pair made. That’s what I should do.  Anyway, there’s still a next time.

busy week

January 22nd, 2010

It was a busy week for me and it looks as if it’s not about to change. I’m going to work on a project this weekend apart from organizing my dad’s birthday party this Saturday. I don’t even want to know the ton of work lined up for next week. One at a time. That’s the trick. Just focus on one task till you finish it. I’m actually no good when it comes to multi-tasking. When I do this, the results are almost always half-baked. Anyway, I will leave in an hour to to have business cards printed for my sister. It would have been an easy thing to do but she asked specifically for cheap business cards. Where am I going to get those in an instant? It’s a good thing there are online sites that do that. So I might not even leave the house this morning.  I came across PrintsMadeEasy.com.  just now and it’s a good thing the site offers priority shipping.  I could send those business cards straight to my sister’s home.  I’m liking this day.  I get things done without leaving the house.  It saves on gas and parking fees.  Great!  I might even get a few hours of sleep before I pick up my kid from school.

getting serious

January 20th, 2010

People are really getting serious about blogging. Why? For one, they are getting their own domain names. Getting your own domain means paying for it and anything you pay for only means that it’s something important and worth your while. That you’re willing to shell out money to achieve your goal is serious. I have my own domain and I’m glad I did. People who read my blog think that what I write here are all true. They don’t know that half of it are fiction. No, kidding aside. Anyway, if you’re really serious about blogging then you should get paid web hosting. More and more bloggers are discovering the advantages of getting their own web hosting. You don’t have the restrictions of a free webhost. With paid web hosting, you are in charge. You can increase your bandwidth, increase your space and really customize everything based on your needs. You can also have your own email address or addresses. And there is tech support. Most even offer 24/7 tech support. And it’s really not that expensive to get your own webhosting. But the best thing perhaps is when people visit your site, they would know instantly from your own domain and webhost that you are serious about your product. That your visitors can trust you. So, how do you choose the right web host for you? Try to read about web hosting news. Know what your needs are. For more information about webhosting features, you may also visit WebhosstingGeeks.com.

for mommies

January 20th, 2010

People think that as a mother, I know it all.  That’s where they’re mistaken.  I don’t know everything and oftentimes, I turn to books and other sources and resources for help and understanding especially when the subject matter is about Baby and child.  For instance, my little girl suddenly developed a rash two weeks ago.  I got alarmed because it was not the regular rash most kids get.  So I turned to BabiesBase.com for information and I found it.  If you’re a mother, you would surely learn a lot from the many articles on their website.  Articles range from tips about going on vacation with the kids to time management for busy working mothers.  So the next time you find yourself clueless, visit their website and you might just find what you’re looking for.
