I stopped making New Year’s resolutions a few years ago after making too many unfulfilled promises and goals to myself and feeling bad about it. I’m not knocking them if you’re a fan and have tried to do your resolutions all year long, I’m just no good with such a big weight on my shoulders. Well, my New Year’s resolutions are no biggie (I’ll lose 50 lbs and be a waif for once in my life or I’ll single-handedly be responsible for world peace), but I can’t seem to do them. =)
Right now, I promise to instead of resolve something major, I would try to make smaller life decisions that are part of my daily existence. I plan to eat one salad a day, drink more water, keep in touch with people who matter, stick to one cigarette a week, and clean up as I go. And of course, avoid the laundry from overflowing. Easy enough to do because I know they’re all possible without too much trouble. What are your goals for 2010?

So we’re heading to Boracay for Christmas. I’m so excited since I have not been to the place for more than ten years now. Plus the fact that I’ll be with my family this time around. My past visits were part work and part leisure everytime. This time around would be all about fun and time with the people who truly matter in my life. School ends this week for my son who is in college. Christmas vacation officially starts this weekend for him. But one of his teachers decided at the last minute to give the class something to do on vacation. It’s a last minute assignment and project. Of course, my kid panicked at first as he was so bent on doing nothing while on vacation. That’s why you call it vacation, right? He has to compile home and family articles. I know now what to give to friends’ newborn kids this Christmas. It would have to be organic baby clothes and I really think they would love them. I’m a stay at home mom. I take care of my kids 24/7. I prepare their meals, help my little girl with her assignment and I drive them wherever they need to go.
