The women in our family are prone to varicose veins. My sister had them in college and they got even worse when she gave birth to her first kid. Luckily, mine are not too obvious but I know they’re there. It’s a good thing there are many varicose veins treatment available for us. If you’re suffering from this too, just find a good vein doctor in your area. Vein-treatment.com helps you find a vein doctor in your area. Loving these vintage photos from the 1932 Macy’s parade. Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it. To everyone else, best wishes for the rest of the year and beyond.

Don’t you just hate it when a company does not have a website? In this day and age of the world wide web, it can’t be helped when you do a background check on someone before meeting him in person. We are all guilty of that. So it only follows that before pursuing a business with a certain company, you also do a background check. The telephone does not count. So a company website is the next best thing. Just like when my brother-in-law’s company decided to move last year, we consulted the internet and found Los Angeles Office Movers and of course, we checked their website. After reading the content of their site, we decided they’re a good moving company and true enough, when we inquired over the telephone, they were very helpful and answered all our queries. If you need a Moving Services Los Angeles, try MelroseMoving.com. I already did the initial background check to save you precious time. Or you can call their toll free number at 1-800-431-3920 if you’re not too convinced.

More and more benefits of eating dark chocolate are being discovered. A team headed by Elizabeth Triche of the Yale Center for Perinatal, Pediatric and Environmental Epidemiology found out that chocolate, more specifically dark chocolate, offers protection to pregnant women against pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia affects 3 - 8 per cent of pregnant women. Preeclampsia is a disorder characterized by dangerously high blood pressure and protein in the urine. Symptoms often include swelling, sudden weight gain, headaches and vision problems. Anyway, the study shows women who eat chocolate are at decreased risk of developing preeclampsia. The conclusions are reported in one of the issues of the journal Epidemiology. Improved cardiovascular health is what prompted the team of Elizabeth Triche to experiment with the effects of chocolate on pregnant mothers.
So what does chocolate have that prevents pre-eclampsia? Chocolate contains positive neurotransmitters such as theobromine. During the study, a high concentration of theobromine was found in the cord bloods of pregnant women who consume a good serving of dark chocolate. I wouldn’t be surprised if doctors would soon prescribe dark chocolate for pregnancy. How lucky are those pregnant women. By the way, pregnant women can take this dark chocolate consumption or prescription thing a step further by purchasing chocolates from IntentionalChocolate.com for optimal health and well-being.

What would it be like to sail your own boat or yacht? I can never own a yacht in this lifetime. I would rather spend it on a villa in Tuscany or a vacation house in Positano. But with Fractional Sailing, I might just be able to sail without actually owning one. If you’re interested in sailing, visit WindPath.com for more information.

I love to go on vacation. If I could do it weekly, I would. My family even has membership at a resort hotel somewhere in the north. And we often go there when time permits. We would just stay inside the villa, sleep and eat and come morning, the kids go swimming. That’s usually our routine when on vacation. Just chill and have a good time. There’s no point in taking a vacation if you’d just stress yourself.
But there are just some things that have to be prioritized and sometimes, vacation or having a break takes a back seat. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably bought one of those vacation timeshares. Timeshares save you a lot of money but sometimes you get so busy with work and end up not using them. Well, there’s Resorts Rescued who can help you with that. They can get your timeshare sold, rented or traded so you won’t end up just paying maintenance fees, taxes and assessments even if you don’t get to use them. You can even earn in the process.

My mom is turning 60 this December. My sister and I are planning to produce a short movie or feature that would have all her siblings, relatives and her loved ones give short meaningful messages. It’s a tough task especially for me who is in charge of going from one relative to the next to record their messages. I haven’t started yet. I have to call and inform each one about the plan and I’m not even sure if everyone would be agreeable. There are even relatives in the province that I have to visit for this. If only they know how to use the technology of the internet and post their messages in social networking sites so it would be easier for me. But unfortunately, they are as low-tech as they come. Aside from that, I have to find the perfect gift for her 60th birthday. I t should be something special and should be something that she likes. The last time I spoke to my mom, she wanted this branded esq watch. It’s a bit expensive but I know that would make her happy. We want this event to be truly memorable for her. So I guess she’d be getting that watch and a ton of best wishes on her 60th year here on Earth.

My son originally wanted to have a room with no bed. He said that he preferred just having a mattress that he can put away when not in use. I thought it was crazy. A bed frame is a must in any bedroom. Of course, I won with my argument. But if he had told me about Murphy bed wall bed, I would have agreed with him on that. You see, it’s similar to his idea of putting away the mattress when not in use. Only, it looks way better and it turns into a couch or another sitting area for him. And it works well with any home that has limited floor space which is our case since we live in a condo. And it comes with its own mattress. You can even get to choose your fabric to match the color scheme of any room. I recommend this to anyone who lives in a condo. I wonder why our contractor hadn’t suggested this to me.

We’re in Tagaytay now and I’m taking advantage of the free wi-fi in the lobby of this new hotel, Summit Ridge. We haven’t checked in. We can only check in after lunch since no room is available yet. The hotel is fully booked perhaps due to the November promo. The room rate is 50% off the whole month. By the way, I’m coming back here next week to take advantage of the promo and the long weekend. Good thing there was one last room available when I inquired awhile ago. I guess it was really meant for me.
Till next post…I will tell you all bout our experience sleeping in our ancestral house in Batangas. It was terrible. =(

Have you heard about Dirt Devil Online Shopping Guide? If you are into shopping online, then you should have this guide. Christmas is just five weeks away and I’m sure all of us are rushing to do our shopping so we could focus on the meaning of Christmas once it comes. To tell you honestly, I haven’t started with mine. Although I have had my list with me for three weeks now, it has not been used yet. It’s a good thing I found this holiday guide that would help me with my shopping. I might be doing most of my gift shopping online this year. Perhaps most of my gifts would be bought online especially after reading through the guide and learning where to get discounts and coupon codes on practically everything. This guide has over 300 ways to save when online shopping. I especially love the idea of the second annual free shipping day which will happen on December 17, 2009. That should save me a lot of money. You know how much shipping costs these days. Sometimes it’s more expensive than the item itself. For the couples, you won’t have a hard time finding that perfect gift for your partner. The guide has plenty of gift suggestions for him or her. If I were you, I would go on over to DirtDevil.com and download the guide now.
