the birthing house
I love suspense/thriller and scary movies but sometimes I prevent myself from watching because I couldn’t sleep at night. I imagine the characters in the movies actually in the room with me. I sleep with the lights on to make the fear subside a bit. And this would normally go on for weeks then I’d forget about it or I’d get used to the horror that I don’t get scared anymore. But reading supernatural horror and psychological thriller is a whole different experience for me. It’s more enjoyable as you imagine the characters come to life in your mind. It’s not as scary. I try to lessen the scary factor so I could still sleep at night. But I’m not sure with the new Christopher Ransom stunning debut book called The Birthing House. It’s a story of a couple’s descent into madness after they purchase a 140-year-old Victorian house in rural Wisconsin. Unimaginable things happen in that old house. The reviews say that it will keep you glued to the book but will have second thoughts of reading it until the wee hours of the night because it’s that scary and dark.
Ok, if you want to get a taste of it, you can read chapter 1 and 2 first. See if you don’t get hooked. You can also watch the book trailer below.

Ay naku pareho tayo. I also love watching suspense/thriller and horror movies pero after nun takot naman! hahaha
