I’ve had 20/20 vision for as long as I can remember. But with my lifestyle and hobbies, my eyes have deteriorated and are not their usual bright, white and clear state. I always read and I’m always in front of the computer. I sleep late and wake up early. And I won’t be surprised if I had an eye checkup now and the doctor says I would be needing eyeglasses very soon. That’s ok but I would rather now wear eyeglasses at this age because it would make me look older than I really am. Which is not a good thing. Thank God for Lasik surgery. My niece is studying Culinary Arts in some school at the Fort. The course would only last 8 months and after which, she graduates and can now be called a legitimate chef. I don’t know what she plans to do after school, if she intends to work at a restaurant or hotel or put up a restaurant of her own. Then she would need restaurant supply for that.

I went to the mall on Monday to have lunch with some friends. I took the train going there so I was a bit early and had more than an hour to spare. So I did some window shopping but I did not window shopped for clothes nor shoes. I was window shopping for furniture. And I can’t help but marvel at the beautiful and modern bedroom sets displayed on the windows. Looking at them made me imagine having a different and more modern bedroom. Of course, that’s all wishful thinking for now and would have to wait for another five years or so.

I’ve been wanting to go to Las Vegas and just spend the weekend not worrying about anything. No, I’m not going to spend an obscene amount of money on gambling. Besides I don’t have that kind of money. What I would really like to do is see the shows. The extravagant and sometimes outrageous Las Vegas shows. And one of the shows I would watch is the Le Reve that features and revolves around the painting of Pablo Picasso. I don’t know how they came to produce this type of show. It probably took a huge amount of imagination for this show to be conceptualized. If you want to see the show, better buy your Ticket to Le Reve in Las Vegas ahead of time. I heard tickets move and run out fast.

Now that it stopped raining, it feels like summer once again. It’s ridiculously hot in here now. Despite the absurd heat, I still have to do some writing. Anyway, I watched Harry Potter on its opening day. I was with my nephew and MG. This was MG’s first time to watch in a cinema so I was more excited than her. But guess what, she slept. It was actually my fault. I don’t even know why I chose to watch in the afternoon when I know that that is her sleeping time. I enjoyed the movie. I didn’t get to read the book though so I was left hanging and wanting and expecting more when the movie ended. I didn’t know that it was already the end. So I’m planning to read Deathly Hollows next after I finished the book I’m currently reading. I have at least 50 more pages to go. Anyway, I want to eat steak and potatoes. After last night’s rain, I’m craving for something filling. We might go out for lunch today. Happy weekend to you all. Peace.

The senate in the Philippines has looked into the matter and has proposed changes about how the telecom companies should handle this better. The telecom companies should be blamed and not the mobile content providers. They should not be affected with all this brouhaha. And I don’t think they are. This is part of their expansion program in Asia. So I guess we’ll be expecting more texts and marketing campaigns from Golivemobile through our telecom companies.

I know that it takes great skill, creativity and craftsmanship in creating or making jewelry pieces. Having worked at a jewelry shop for two years, designing, creating and polishing one ring would normally take weeks. And it is no joke.
