barney
Who doesn’t know this purple creature? Barney is part of our family. Ever since MG took a fancy on him, everyone in the family is hooked. Barney goes anywhere we go. To the mall, to school, to Baguio and he even sleeps with us.
We are spending the New Year in Mimosa, Clarkfield, Pampanga and he’s part of the travel checklist:
Chollo
MG
clothes
toothbrush/toothpaste
underwear
food
toiletries
celphone and charger
laptops
MG’s milk and bottles
chocolates
Barney Baby Bob BJ
extra blankets and pillows
coloring books and toys
vitamins
water
Look at these photos. You can see MG really adores this guy.
what would you do
MG now calls me by my first name. Not mommy. Not mama. Not even tita. I didn’t teach her that. I guess she picked it up from the numerous bonding time I had with my friends these past two weeks. She was with me every single time. Even the night when we went home at 2am. She was probably wondering why I don’t seem to mind my friends calling me by my name. Well, I really don’t know. That’s the only reason I can think of. It actually started two days ago and it was amusing at first. But now I’m thinking if I should tolerate it. She might get used to calling me by my first name. Is that bad? Should I let it pass? How can you tell this cute little being to stop?

By the way, these photos were taken on two different occasions. Lately, she falls asleep on the pillows in the exact position. This happens after we do some shopping. Poor MG. Couldn’t keep up with mommy.

christmas activities
My little girl had more Christmas activities than I had these past weeks. She had been busy rehearsing for their Christmas program in school for the past two weeks that it had left us sleeping most of the afternoons. We literally had no energy left for other things. Even shopping. I haven’t really started with my shopping except for the few gifts I had to buy first for MG’s teachers and classmates. And I have only 2 days left to purchase gifts for my nieces, nephews and ‘inaanaks’. The grown-ups won’t be getting any. At least not in time for Christmas that is. I might be able to give them something post-Christmas when money is no longer tight and time is already on my side. This Christmas, it will be the children first.
And remember the speech I had to give during my little girl’s program? Well, I survived it. Thank God, it’s over. I was shaking the whole time. I told the teachers that I won’t be doing any more speeches in this lifetime.
By the way, here are photos from the Christmas party and program.
don’t take pics while driving
A friend of mine did my makeup when I attended a wedding last Thursday. Although I know how to apply makeup on others, I can’t do it on myself. Funny but true. So I asked my friend to do it. I think she did an amazing job. She’s an associate makeup artist for Shu Uemura. Here are photos I took while driving to the wedding reception. But don’t do this while driving. Matigas lang talaga ulo ko. Sorry super emote ako kunyari stolen shots =)
me, speak?
A few days ago, I was asked by my kid’s teacher if I could speak at their Christmas presentation on Thursday. The kids will be performing in front of an audience and this same audience will hear and see me speak about the most used topic during Christmas season. SHARING.
What do I do? I’m uncomfortable with the idea of talking in front of people I barely know. I tried to beg off but guess what? The teacher already had my name printed on the invitations. Nice move, right? Wala ng kawala talaga.
So now, I’m busting my brains out to make the perfect piece about sharing. And I can’t think of anything else to say, except that if I faint that day, it won’t be my fault. God help me.
new year, new you
What does Christmas mean to you? For many of us, it’s about sharing, giving gifts and making children happy. It’s the season to be merry. And when I say merry, food and booze couldn’t be far behind. Next week is the start of endless parties and reunions of family and friends. A whole lot of pigging out, that’s for sure. And the Christmas season is anyone’s alibi to eat more than is necessary.
And next year, expect everyone to make losing weight their number one resolution. And that includes me. So how am I going to achieve this? Of course, through exercise, proper diet and nutrition and diet pills that work. Weight loss is not an easy feat. And as one gets older, metabolism does not work the way it once did. That’s the reason many are opting to use the best diet pills. Because not all diet pills are the same. Some can even be harmful. So it’s better if you check diet pill reviews first before purchasing any. One should look for pills that are natural and FDA approved. Watch this video for more tips.
